Garolite G7 is a composite material comprising fiberglass and epoxy cured under high pressure. It is laminated with a silicon resin binder, which accounts for its excellent dielectric loss properties in both humid and dry environments. Garolite G7 sheet can withstand higher temperatures than any other Garolite grade, enabling it to withstand humid conditions with a maximum temperature of 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
When you invest in G7 machining services, you’ll benefit from this material’s many favorable characteristics. G7 sheet exhibits high stability and longevity, as well as excellent mechanical, tensile and impact strength. This hard plastic has superior electrical properties and displays high moisture, heat and arc resistance.
Garolite G7 is widely used across many diverse industries, such as the medical, marine and aerospace fields. Due to its heat and arc resistance, G7 sheet is MIL-I-24768/17 GSG-compliant, making it suitable for military-grade insulation applications.
